Terms of Service.

The service and eligibility

ApplySpan provides AI-assisted resume creation and tailoring, cover-letter drafting, editorial fit comparisons, keyword and gap analysis, interview preparation, job-link import, application tracking, and related career tools. ApplySpan is an editing and preparation service—not a recruiter, staffing agency, employer, law firm, immigration adviser, or professional licensing service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement. If you use ApplySpan for another person or an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for them.

Your content and responsibilities

You keep ownership of the resume, job description, and other content you submit. You give ApplySpan a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to host, process, reproduce, translate, and format that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service.

You are responsible for ensuring your information is accurate, lawful, and yours to use. Review every generated document before sending it. Do not upload Social Security or government-identification numbers, full financial-account details, medical records, passwords, or confidential information that is unnecessary for a job application.

Keep order links and private application-history links confidential. Anyone with a valid order link may be able to view the related materials during its access window. Notify support promptly if you believe a link has been exposed.

AI-assisted output and editorial scores

ApplySpan uses automated systems that can make mistakes, miss context, or produce incomplete suggestions. We do not intentionally invent qualifications, but you must verify all dates, employers, education, metrics, skills, authorization statements, and other claims before use.

Fit and quality scores are editorial comparisons based on the submitted resume, job information, and ApplySpan’s rubric. They are not official ATS scores, employment predictions, or professional certifications and may change when source material, prompts, models, or the rubric changes.

ApplySpan does not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, applicant-tracking-system performance, compensation, immigration status, or any other hiring result. Employers and other third parties make those decisions.

Free samples, paid plans, and 30-day access

A free sample currently includes one polished resume PDF and related on-page guidance. To protect capacity and prevent abuse, free samples are limited to five per network address in a 24-hour period. We may adjust or apply additional reasonable security and fair-use limits.

The paid package is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The documents it includes are shown before checkout. Orders placed under earlier plans keep exactly what those plans included. Paid order files and private package access remain available for 30 days from the original order date.

During an active paid access period, the private application area may let the original purchaser create another targeted package for a new job under the same purchased plan without another charge. This benefit is for the purchaser’s personal job search, is non-transferable, does not restart or extend the original 30-day period, and remains subject to ordinary fair-use, technical, and security limits. Tracker entries remain until removed, but expired order files are not recoverable.

Job links, tracker, and third-party services

When you provide a public job-post URL, you authorize ApplySpan to make a limited, one-time attempt to retrieve the role title, employer, and description for your requested analysis. You must be authorized to use the content. ApplySpan does not bulk-index job boards and is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn, Indeed, or any other job platform.

An imported page may be incomplete, outdated, blocked, or incorrectly structured. You must verify imported details and use the manual-description option when needed. Your use of a third-party site remains subject to that site’s terms.

The private tracker is an organizational tool, not a system of record or deadline service. You remain responsible for application deadlines, follow-ups, saved notes, and keeping your own copies of important information.

Prices, payment, refunds, and communications

Prices are shown before checkout and may change for future purchases. Stripe processes payment. You authorize the stated one-time charge and represent that you are permitted to use the selected payment method. ApplySpan does not automatically renew a purchase.

Personalized digital processing begins shortly after payment. Even so, if the paid package does not do what the site said it would, email billing@applyspan.com within 7 days of purchase and we will refund it. We will also correct a material delivery error and address a duplicate charge at any time. Nothing here limits non-waivable rights under applicable law.

You agree to receive transactional messages needed to confirm, process, deliver, secure, or support your request. These are service messages, not a subscription to marketing email.

Acceptable use

You may not use ApplySpan to impersonate another person, fabricate credentials, violate intellectual-property or privacy rights, upload malicious code, probe or disrupt the service, evade rate or access limits, share paid access outside your personal use, resell output as a competing automated service, or engage in unlawful or deceptive conduct.

We may refuse, pause, limit, or cancel access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, ApplySpan, or the public; investigate fraud or security concerns; comply with law; or address a material breach of these terms.

Ownership and availability

ApplySpan’s site design, software, branding, rubrics, prompts, and original materials remain owned by ApplySpan or its licensors. Subject to these terms and any rights in your source content, you may use the completed documents created for your order for your personal job search.

We may modify, pause, replace, or discontinue features and providers. We aim for reliable delivery but do not promise uninterrupted, permanently available, or error-free service. Download your completed files during the 30-day access period and keep your own backup.

Disclaimers, liability, and changes

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, ApplySpan will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-opportunity damages. ApplySpan’s aggregate liability relating to a paid order will not exceed the amount paid for that order. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so they may not apply to you.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The version posted when you submit a request or purchase governs that transaction unless law requires otherwise. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
